The origin story

"One sunny Dubai morning, during a meeting over coffee at a café in Al Quoz, Mhamed, Ilaria and James (the founders) realized they all shared the same love for food. A lot.  They realized that each time they'd meet up, food was always present and ideas of how to improve the flavors, the menu, the experience, were thrown around.

James & Ilaria had a dream to share Bella Tahini with the world, but many things in life kept getting in the way. That day at the café, they shared the idea with Mhamed. Being the restaurant connessieur and entrepreneur that he is, he was curious. So, in a very chaotic and simple way, James managed to make a rough sample for Mhamed to try. His reaction: "When do we start?".

What happened next...

Born for the love of food in the UAE, we started creating Bella Tahini bonbons together, with the idea that everyone should get to experience this awesomeness.

What we didn't expect is that we'd end up creating some sort of dexter's laboratory of gelato, inventing wild flavor combinations and pairings, using molecular gastronomical techniques and tapping in to the traditional chemistry of gelato. All of our flavors come from our love of food and what sensation you should have when you eat it.

We don't do fillers, artificial flavors, premixes or short cuts.
We decided to take the hard road, because the outcome is just so much better.
